We (finally) found a computer guy who was able to get Cat Lady's old laptop back to life again (for only $10, no less). As she had no backup, I wanted to take the opportunity to set up some sort of automated backup mechanism for her. I figured that Dropbox would be a cheap-and-cheery approach for her, as she made it clear that she's not going to pay $2-$5 per month or more for backup/synchronization. Unfortunately, I can't set up the top of the share tree as simply C:\Users\Cat_Lady. Their own documentation states:
Please note, while you can choose the location of your Dropbox folder, you currently can't change the name of your Dropbox folder. No matter where you put it, it will be named Dropbox.
(and there's also a bit in there that if you do try to hack it behind-the-scenes, Dropbox will get confused). Any ideas?
